<\/span><\/p>\n Having made South Africa our home, we found that some of our favorite tastes and flavors that were second nature to us in Switzerland were just not available here. We found that the mayonnaise in South Africa was overly sweet and\/or tangy, whereas we preferred a savory thicker version.<\/span><\/p>\n As South Africans are innovative and creative, and in the spirit of the saying \u201c \u2018n Boer maak \u2018n plan\u201d, we create some of those flavors ourselves to ease the transition to magnificent South African life.<\/span><\/p>\n One of these was mayonnaise.
